Ramesh,

I enjoyed learning more about how you views on leadership. Could you please tell me more about what happens in the model of shared leadership? Does one person organize the shared leadership model? How does it work? What is the content of the sessions?

Next, it was interesting to see your comment that high school teachers regard "college preparation as the largest part of their mission." We find that elementary teachers regard preparation of their students for the "next grade" as one of their primary missions. To "get the students ready for next year," teachers often teach end ideas and skills from the beginning of the year. We often find that when teachers truly understand how children learn, "do" mathematics and science as learners and learn how to develop concepts, we see an increase of instruction that is appropriate to grade level. This brings me to the need for articulation between grade levels.
