Jeanne,

I am so glad to hear you say that the first five years is considered to be infancy. I am going to share this with our many committees working on how to sustain and how to weave the LSC to become more integrated with the Curriculum and Instruction culture.

There is sometimes a tendency to rush. I do like the twenty-five year approach. Mark St. John recently stated in his address to our Annual Retreat participants that "slow and steady" is best as is "keeping the course."

I believe holding out for the vision and the goals of the LSC for as long as possible will be most encouraging for the teachers.
