Project Info: A Black Hills Science Teaching Project to Prepare K-8 Teachers for the New Millenium staff: Ben Sayler (Principal Investigator) Robert Magelky (Evaluator) Janet Lillehaug (Lead Staff) grant award #: 9819643 funding began: 06-01-1999 funding ends: 05-31-2004 webpage/site: http://camse.spearfish.k12.sd.us/blahst project focus: Science grade levels: Elementary,Middle School venue type: Rural abstract: Over a five-year period, this project will provide all 370 K-8 teachers of science from 8 school districts with 100 hours of professional development. The districts involved are Belle Fourche, Douglas, Kadoka, Lead-Deadwood, Meade, New Underwood, Spearfish and Wall. The Center for the Advancement of Mathematics and Science Education at Black Hills State University coordinates the project.
