I enjoyed this poster very much. The project sounds wonderful in two senses: the sheer magnitude of the challenges undertaken and the sense of wonder that students, and I would hope teachers experience. I was particlularly struck by'the list of 'emotions' that characterize 'good scientists. This is what science and learning should be all about. Your choice of words like 'sense', 'wonder', awesome' are strangely out of step with the technicist, positivist, linear, test mania of contemporary policy. How do you maintain your sense of wonder in this climate? How do you manage meaning when teachers face testing pressures and demands from other subjects and policy requirements. I realize this is a heck of a question but it seems to me the essence of sustainability. If we want projects to go 'longer' and wider' they must, as yours does, go deeper. Great stuff keep on pushing because real change agents are tenacious.
