I'd like to hear more about how you integrated science with other high profile changes e.g. writing. My clear impression is many NSF projects ran into powerful competition form competing priorities. To what extent do the goals of your project support or conflict with your states testing regimen ( or is Rhode Island n oasis that has avoided the testing plague.
