Hi Linda,

I suspect that our experience here in Mesa was much like yours at the elementary grades. Mathematics was the elective choice in the vast majority of cases. Teachers are under a lot of pressure with testing of math. Unfortunately science becomes more the step-child and is given less time as a result. Where we offered quality science experiences, teachers came. But if we gave them choices between the two, they inevitable pursued math.
