This need not be limited to test scores -- the article I wrote in the "Resources" section of the conference lists five alternative measures of "success." To some extent, buy-in is contingent on demonstrated results, including outcomes that show how increasing teachers' knowledge of content and pedagogy leads to better gains in learning and motivation.
