I found your poster interesting and commend you in your work. You seem to have been able to involve key people. I have two questions:if superintendets are supportive, do they intend to include line items in their budgets to sustain the momentum of the changes?
In light of high stakes testing, does the poitical will exist to pursue something that is good for kids like your program but might not add up to good test scores?
Do you have any evidence that students who have been involved in inquiry approaches to teaching math do any better than students taught in the 'drill and kill' fashion. I ask this because one argument you hear from the 'test junkies' is that standardized tests do not conflict with higher order learning approaches.
