One of the most successful aspects of our projects was that teacher -leaders were the ones who REPLACED the adminsitrators that left. Our project started with six teacher leaders with the vision.
Six years later, three are curriculum directors in their districts (person in charge of instructional leadership in the district). One is a building principal. In the second level of teacher leaders several are moving into administration. We lose them as a teacher but they have tremendous impact on sustainability when they run the district's instructional program!

PS. We never got all teachers to take 100 hours; but the average number of hours for all teachers is over 100. Some had signficantly more (over 500) and some had less (o).
