Yes, we were thrilled with the results. Please feel free to contact Dr. Kalyani Raghavan at the Learning Research and Development Center (412-624-9580, kalyani+@pitt.edu) for an answer to your question regarding the comparison with PA students. I'm not sure that comparison was possible, but Kalyani will know. Further, SW PA participated in the TIMSS-R as one of 27 jurisdictions in the country, results of which were released on April 4. It appears that SW PA does slightly better in science than in math and is above PA and the US in both. We suspect that a lot of ASSET districts participated in the TIMSS-R, but we are not privy to that information.
