Fee structure seems very promising - Brian Drayton

Brian,
The membership options provide minimal professional development linked to the curriculum. It is not nearly as comprehensive as the NSF offerings; however, with our new list of products and services with member and non-member fees, the learning opportunities are available for districts and for individuals as they choose. It is already happening. We have 20 course and institute offerings this summer. We opened registrations last week. 170 participants have already signed up, 23 of which are above and beyond the membership, i.e., they're paying their way. We're thrilled.
The good thing about ending the NSF grant is that the program, i.e., materials, professional development and partnerships, is available (at a fee) to anyone or any entity in the region. It's great and should spread reform. Our challenge is to become the primier PD provider in the region, and the only provider of Institutes for Inquiry (in partnership with the Exploratorium).
