I'd like to second Jane's reference to Rick Du Four. We have used his book on Professional Learning Communities as part of our Leadership Institutes and for a principal's study group. Dr. Dufore visited our district this spring. His practical experience and synthesis of the work of Senge, Fullan and others is a powerful framework for designing communities that function to create action.
