At many of our schools we have had at least 2/3 of the teachers trained. Once you get to this point, these teachers have enough of a voice in making departmental decisions. Most of our schools are not all IMP - they have "traditional" tracks also. But in the schools that have a majority trained, even the traditional books that are chosen are more reform-minded. In these schools we have seen teachers re-write or re-structure courses ranging from "basic math" to statistics to make them project based. And the non-IMP trained teachers are now using these books and curriculums. So this is not a myth. Although there is a large turn over, once the schools have made these changes, they are staying on those tracks.
