Hi Linda -

I also enjoyed your thoughtful poster. I was struck by your comment that we "must consider the yardstick" we use to measure. I also have been thinking much about the measurements of success - there was an article in Education Week last month that talked about the end of reform and how we should give up system reform and focus only on developing teachers. I felt I had to write a letter to the editor on that one which was published a couple weeks ago - my main point was that change can be subtle and latent and that we should be careful about jumping to conclusions about change just because we don't see it in the places we initially expected to find it. So, your adjusted time line and your mention of the yardstick rang true for me. Sorry I didn't see you in person at this virtual conference!
