Chris,

We successfully met our goals which were:
a.Support for new teachers

b.Development of cross-district leadership

c.Moving beyond mechanical use of science and mathematics curriculum, and

d.Addressing diversity and equity in special populations.

Lesley College Program Evaluation and Research Group measured the results using multiple strands of assessment. This was in addition to the HRI assessment model.

Our cohort was required to show success toward teacher goals, not student goals. "Past studies have shown that where teachers improve instruction, improvement in student learning follows," was the essence of NSF's position at that time. For whatever reason, that has turned back around into measuring student assessment. I understand the need for this, but don't agree with it.
