We have looked at SAT scores, MCAS scores (our state test) and problem solving scores and they are all good. However, one of the things I would do over again is include more funding for evaluation. We were so wrapped up in providing services, and our evaluator was so wrapped up in the Horizon's evaluation, that we depended on our schools to get us data and of course this was done inconsistently.
I admit I have not read your article, but will do so as it would be good to have alternative ways to measure student outcomes. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
